The two-hour session will be led by one of the venue’s experienced perfume experts. They’ll be on hand throughout to offer guidance as you explore a stunning range of scents imported from Grasse, France – the world’s perfume capital. You’ll learn which fragrances complement one another, and marvel at their ability to evoke memories of people, places and experiences. Complimentary hot drinks are available, and your voucher includes entry to the exclusive perfume museum – the first of its kind in South Africa, and a fascinating insight into the ancient art. While searching for things to do in Cape Town recently, I came across the Kumanov Prive Perfume Workshop.This workshop is held at the first and only Museum of Perfumery in Africa. They offer 3 different priced workshops and no matter which one you choose, the value is excellent. Daniela Kumanov is extremely knowledgeable about the history of perfume and she also presents the perfume making workshops. Each person is made to feel very welcome and receives individual attention throughout the experience. The vast selection of perfume oils to choose from is mind blowing. Once you have chosen approximately nine oils that you prefer, Daniela guides you through the blending process. It truly is an amazing experience. I left the perfume museum feeling special and so exhilarated and on my arm was a beautiful gift back containing my uniquely created fragrance and a tub of body cream. A tour of the museum is part of the 3 hour workshop and the vast collection of antique and modern perfume bottles is astonishing. I highly recommend this experience.
